This
vintage, military MIMO SWISS MADE watch probably missed WW2! I purchased this watch from a military watch dealer who only collected the finest examples. This is the cleanest MIMO military we have EVER seen. This particular
watch was produced for the GERMAN military in 1940-1942. The 35mm. screw back case on
this watch is without scratches. These cases are sleek and slender-they
truly look fantastic to wear on the wrist! They also look
larger, due to the large dial and narrow, polished bezel.
This case is near pristine-only handling marks over the years. The manual winding MIMO movements are of fine quality and was produced by GIRARD PERREGAUX. This
one just cleaned and accurate. The original dial on this MIMO is all original, having radium markers
and matching hands, large sub-seconds and gold gilt print, deep, dark and glossy black-the cleanest we have ever seen!
Interestingly, MIMO watch company (Girard Perregaux) ordered their military service
watches "smashed after WW2" many witnesses recorded
destroying these watches. This was done to not flood the market,
thus retaining MIMO'S status as a fine watchmaker.
