This is a 2007 GERMAN MADE BENZINGER SUBKRIPTION hand detailed masterpiece in stainless steel measuring a hefty 42x11mm. thick. This rare and handcrafted watch is based on the 44 hour power reserve UNITAS 6498 movement and has been modified by JOCHEN BENZINGER, whose tool collection rivals any museum in terms of using period carving devices; many of which are over 100 years old. JOCHEN is a self taught in the art of guilloche and a master carver. To simplify how great he really is-the house of Faberge retains him as the master carver of the renowned Faberge eggs. This watch was produced in his workshop in Daetzingen Castle, which dates to the year 1283; further adding to the mystique of these creations. The guilloche carving of the ivory toned dial with Roman numerals will leave all those who gaze upon this watch “amazed”. The movement is all hand decorated by Jochen. The hands are BREGUET style, blued steel. The crystal is sapphire. The strap is hand sewn alligator and is fastened with a double folding stainless steel clasp. JOCHEN produced a VERY limited number of this particular watch. This watch should be considered essentially “unused”, with all boxes and hand written note by JOCHEN BENZINGER himself. These true craftsman are disappearing worldwide, adding to the investment appeal of this work of art. $7,500. Bankwire Please.
