1949 Omega With A 342 Bumper Automatic Movement

Description

This is a 1949 gold-filled Omega having a bumper automatic caliber 342 movement (cleaned and is accurate). These bumper winding movements were amongst the first of the automatic Omegas produced. The case measures a mid-size and discreet 32.3mm and the entire watch resembles a Patek Philippe Calatrava in both stature and aesthetics. The silver dial is original with simple gleaming raised gold-toned arrow markers and Dauphine original hands. The aging on the outer edge of the dial is much less visible with the naked eye. I really find the patina adds interest to this dial’s appeal. The gold-filled Omega case is without any major flaws. The correct Omega crown is installed.
