Description
The 1970 Omega Seamaster chronometer is an uncommon watch. These watches were produced in much smaller numbers than the regular Seamaster or the Constellation. The chronometer-grade 24-jewel (adjusted to five positions) caliber 564 automatic winding movement is normally found in the Omega Constellation line of watches and is less common to find in a Seamaster such as this example. This watch exudes class and sophistication. Look at the pristine original dial with Dauphine hands and steel markers! The Omega-signed crystal and winding crown are present, as is the raised-sea-monster logo screw-down case back. The fine chronometer-grade movement was just cleaned and is accurate. The original beads-of-rice stainless steel ref. 1036 bracelet looks stellar on the wrist and will fit up to 7″. These bracelets alone sell for $400 easily. The full-sized 35mm case is larger than a Rolex Air-King from the same era and I would say better-looking.
