Description
These large Omega vintage watches are hard to find. The stainless steel 1970 Omega Geneve measures 37mm, making it much larger than many of the Omegas from the era. The case on these watches is quite cool, having a unique very wide polished bezel. The original silver dial with black inset baton markers and hands adds a visual contrast. Any patina is much less visible with the naked eye than in my close-up photos. This Omega houses a robust and reliable caliber 565 26 jewel automatic (just serviced) movement which is the same used in Omega’s hefty 200m dive watches from the same era. When the crown is pulled all the way out, the date will advance, making the end-of-month date setting simple. The Omega winding crown is correct. The only way to appreciate this ’70s Omega is to have it on your wrist!
