Omega Seamaster 1950 Uncommon And Early

Description

Here is a very uncommon and early Omega Seamaster dating to 1950. This two-tone, sub-second, quadrant dial is all-original and special. Notice the large sub-seconds register, Dauphine-style hands and arrow markers. All the lume matches and is original. The sub-second version of the Seamaster dials only appeared for a couple years. The patina accrued on this vintage dial is truly ideal and attractive. This is among the earliest of Seamasters you will find, as they did introduce the Seamaster in 1948 with this dial style. The gold-capped early Omega Seamaster case measures 34mm and the curved lugs extend to 41.5mm. The correct stainless steel Omega screw-back is original. Considering the age of this vintage Omega, I cannot believe the incredible condition this 74-year-old case exhibits! The Omega winding crown is present. The caliber 342 bumper automatic winding Omega movement was just cleaned, it is running smoothly and accurately. This really is an amazing example of an early and very special Seamaster.
