Description
Here is an uncommon 1958 Omega Seamaster 30. This is one of the first of the specially named Omegas, others being named the Seamaster 60, 300 etc. We do not often see the 30 appear. The serial number is 16.9 million. This is a larger-sized watch, measuring 35mm across, 42mm lug to lug, and a sleek 10.9mm thin in shimmering, scratchless stainless steel with sea-monster case back. This watch is mostly dial, so it appears larger on the wrist. This dial is almost pristine, all-original, eggshell-toned with gold arrow makers and thin, elegant needle-style hands with sweep seconds. That is just shadowing on the edge of the dial. This dial is evenly toned throughout. The Omega winding crown is signed. The sea-monster logo on the case back is still clear. This fine, gilded Omega caliber 285 movement was recently cleaned and is accurately keeping time. I really love the entire look of this simple, hard-to-find, classic Omega.
