1972 Omega Seamaster 200 Poppy

Description

This is a very rare Omega Seamaster 200 from 1972! We named this watch the ‘Seamaster 200 Poppy.’ This is the name we recently coined for this rare watch. We sell more of these Poppy 200s than any dealer in the world. We see fewer of these than the Omega Ploprof dive watch and the ‘Seamaster 200 Poppy.’ We have found these watches in the past destroyed because the diver has forgotten to keep the screw-down crown fastened tightly, which has further diminished the supply of these Omegas. The sparkling, beautiful, and massive stainless steel case measures 41mm not including the crown, with mineral glass (original) scratchless crystal, original lume, hands, and sweep seconds. The bezel and dial still glow brightly! The vibrant and original rotating bezel clicks one step at a time and is quite uncommon to find without major cracks. The original dark-grey Poppy-style dial is what makes these watches very attractive and quite exotic! They also are found in yellow (Banana) and black; all versions are uncommon. The very robust automatic caliber 565 (with quick-set date) was the only movement used in these Omegas, which has the swan’s neck regulation. These were considered tool watches and were used by various military divers throughout Europe due to their easy visibility and durability. This caliber 565 Omega movement was cleaned and is keeping time.
