1944 Omega Suveran

Description

This is one of those Omegas we don’t see very often! During WW2, Sweden purchased these classic WW2-era Omegas with the reliable caliber 30T2 manual winding movements. Sweden needed to raise money within their own country during the war, so Sweden placed a hefty markup on these Omegas and sold them successfully to their own population. We do not often see these watches appear. This 1944, beautiful 35mm stainless steel Omega Suveran (‘sovereign’ in Swedish) has an original black dial with lovely aged Arabic markers, matching original pencil-style hands, and very fine patina. We installed a vintage (unused) ostrich band that really picks up on the lume tone! We just had the very fine caliber 30T2 Omega movement cleaned and it is quite accurate.
