Description
This is a very rare version of the Rolex Oyster Elegante dating to 1948 and having a Viceroy-style case with rare engine-turned bezel measuring the usual smaller size of 29×38.5mm in stainless steel. These watches appear larger on the wrist due to the shape of the case. In other words, they are larger than the regular boys-sized watches from the same era. This watch retains its original dimple-style screw-down Rolex winding crown. This dial is very rare and completely original with radium Roman numerals, original blued steel pencil-style hands, and gold sweep seconds. It is very rare to find a dial such as this. The manual winding Rolex movement keeps accurate time after a recent cleaning by our Rolex watchmaker.
