This 40mm Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner ref. 16610LV was introduced in 2003 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner being introduced to the market. It is nicknamed ‘the Kermit.’ This example is a D-series, dating this watch to 2005. The entire watch is extremely clean and will fit about a 6.75″ wrist. There is a nostalgic inscription on the rear. The Rolex automatic movement was just cleaned and is accurate. I believe these watches will increase in value, due to the fact that fewer of these watches have been sold over the years, compared to the ‘regular’ Submariner.
