Description
This rare 1973 Rolex red-letter ref. 1680 Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner was acquired from the original owner and has all-original parts, including the original (lightly faded) bezel, aged bezel dot, and original matching lume on the original dial and hands. The case displays fine condition overall and has not been overpolished. The fliplock Rolex Oyster bracelet is very fine, tight, and clean. The caliber 1570 automatic winding Rolex movement is accurate. The 3816XXX serial is clear between the lugs, dating the watch to 1973. This all-original example is the exact watch vintage Rolex collectors are seeking.
