1942 Rolex Tudor Victory

Description

Here is a very rare Rolex Tudor Victory that was manufactured by Rolex and meant to be a Tudor with a dual-name dial. At the same time in and around 1942, the Rolex Victory and Skyrocket were being sold to soldiers going overseas. This was Tudor’s offering, being pretty well the same watch, with the manual winding caliber 59 movement by Rolex, just cleaned and accurately keeping time – signed “ROLEX” under the dial. This shimmering gold-filled (original) Pioneer steel-back case measures 28.5mm, which is the same as the cases that were used in the Rolex Skyrocket and Rolex Victory. These watches are all smaller in stature. This original and rare dual-name dial is quite appealing being deep black with large sub-seconds and original blued steel pencil hands and Arabic (once lume) numerals. You may not see another of these!
