Here is an all-original, uncommon and discontinued massive, heavy, and solid 40mm Tudor chronograph ref. 79180 Chrono Time automatic, with fixed steel bezel, in spectacular overall condition. This watch is amongst the last of this series produced to 1993. This is the hard-to-find pre-Tiger model known as the “Big Block.” This watch retains its original Tudor Oyster ref. 78360 fliplock bracelet, which displays stellar and scratchless condition. The automatic Tudor Valjoux 7750 (workhorse) movement is keeping accurate time after a recent cleaning. The screw-down pushers operate flawlessly and the chronograph functions operate like silk. The crystal is without a mark. There are no major dings or scratches on the entire watch. The thick, chunky, and masculine, yet, clean-lined appearance makes this the best-looking Tudor on the wrist. These watches were nicknamed “the smart, rich-man’s Daytona.” These Tudor Big Blocks are highly sought after as of late, being the last of the Big Blocks, their prices will likely continue to rise.
