Description
This is an extremely rare 1966 Favre-Leuba Bathy 160 depth-gauge watch that is new old stock (unused) with inner and outer box, papers, hang tag, and instructions. This gigantic case measures 43.3×48.4×15.5mm thick and is mirror-like, and pristine. This is a professionally designed tool watch – the first of its kind able to register diving depths accurately up to 50m. We found this watch stored in a Favre-Leuba dealer’s safe, along with some other unsold stock from the 1960s and had to have it! The watch has never been opened. There is a some fogging on the inner crystal that will easily wipe away. This is caused from the gases emitted from the lume dial. Personally, I would leave this watch sealed to preserve its condition. The manual winding movement is keeping time. There is a screw-down winding crown and sapphire crystal. Favre-Leuba is one of the world’s oldest watch companies – since 1718.
