Description
This is a very interesting and fairly large watch (for its 1940 date of manufacture), measuring 27.5x40mm and 19mm thick in gold fill. The flared lugs look fabulous! The manual winding Gruen movement covered by the signed stainless steel back was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. This white dial with raised gold-toned markers and hands is completely original and very clean for its age. The dings on the case are minor and not detracting. This watch even retains the original stretch bracelet. I don’t think the owner of this watch really wore it very often. Look at the original inner and outer colourful box entitled “Canadiana” – I’ve never seen another like it.
