1965 Hamilton Electric Pacer In 14k Gold

Description

Here is a the rarest of all Hamiltons, the 14k solid-gold Hamilton Electric Pacer and known as the “Ventura 2.” These watches were never sold to the public. The first series of these were produced for GE in 1960 as presentation watches and housed the 500A movement. Only 400 were sold. These watches were produced in 14k solid yellow gold and not the usual yellow and white, as seen in the Pacer gold-filled version. The next series (this watch) housed the 505 movement and only 100 were made – produced for Kraft food and Sanders and Thomas. This is an extremely rare second-series version with no inscription. It has been verified that less than a handful of these watches appeared without any inscriptions. This 1965 watch was overhauled and verified by Rene Rondeau in 2011, and is keeping accurate time. The eccentric 31.4x45mm 14k gold case is as clean as you will seek with no dings or scratches. The black dial was restored, retaining the original raised gold-toned markers and hands and looks pristine. The gold-toned Dauphine pitched hands and sweep seconds with red arrow tip is present. This watch retains its original Hamilton crown. We guarantee this watch to be all original and correct. A true investment piece that is rarely seen.
