1939 Helbros Aviators WW2-Era Military Watch

Description

It is rare to find such a well-preserved WW2-era aviators watch such as this, especially having an all-original dial! This circa 1939, 36.5x44mm Helbros aviator’s watch is truly a feast for the eyes! The case is chrome-plated, and is pristine with double-hinged back, one signed “HELBROS” and the other with the serial number. The signed, Helbros manual winding movement was just cleaned, overhauled, and is maintaining accurate time. You can’t help but notice the original, extended onion winding crown, which was designed to be operated while the pilot is wearing gloves. The radium dial is completely original and as you can see, in very fine condition, as are the blued steel, radium fancy hands. The bezel rotates to set the triangular (inner) marker to mark timing positions. Also, the bezel has a double design, where the top section is beaded, and the lower is a coin edge.
