1965 Heuer Carrera Dato 45 Chronograph

Description

This is a very rare vintage circa 1965 Heuer Carrera Dato 45 that is amongst the pinnacle of all Heuers! You can search the world and not find a finer (if any) example. This spectacular and all-original watch exhibits perfect balance in shape, colour, and aesthetics. The original silver dial, original steel baton hands and markers with white chronograph hand and date at 9:00 truly exude the simplicity and function of what Heuer was so strongly tied to, automobile racing. The 35.5mm full-sized (12mm thick) Heuer Carrera case, having polished pushers and extended gleaming lugs with screw back is in very fine, glistening condition, without dings or scratches. The Landeron 189 manual winding movement was recently cleaned, overhauled, and is accurate with chronograph functions working flawlessly. This version of the Carrera is the second rarest (measured against the version with date at 12:00), and was the first chronograph to offer this date and chronograph feature.
