Description
This is a fine and dainty platinum & diamond ladies art-deco Longines cocktail watch dating from the early 1930s that is in all-original condition. The solid-platinum 10x23mm case sparkles with its diamond-faceted bezel. The era of the cocktail watch has returned. Why does a woman need a large masculine-looking watch when out on the town with her man? It just doesn’t look proper. Her jewelry should be understated, yet obviously valuable, simple, and refined. This cocktail watch need only to be viewed to tell time if the lady is ‘bored’ and wishes to exit her date. Otherwise the man follows the hours of the evening, leaving the lady only time to gaze into his eyes! The manual winding Longines (fine quality) movement was just cleaned and is keeping time. The original art-deco dial, having Breguet numerals has gently aged to a mellow glow.
