Look at this vintage 1970s Le Jour chronograph from circa 1980, with black, PVD-coated steel case, 40mm diameter, screw back, mineral crystal, internal tachymeter bezel, black dial with lume indexes, day and date at 3:00, 30-minute register at 12:00, 12-hour register at 6:00. The Swiss, self-winding caliber Valjoux 7750 movement is of very fine quality and is keeping excellent and accurate time, with all functions operating flawlessly after a very recent full cleaning. My guess is that the rotor was changed at one time with a correct 7750 replacement. The original black PVD bracelet is full length, and with the naked eye, looks pristine. The case is also without any detracting wear at all. In real life, this watch looks fabulous and is without any detracting case wear – much better than my pictures. The crystal has a scratch that is not detracting and barely noticeable. This watch was purchased from the original owner and was stored for over 25 years in a drawer. The inner and outer boxes include the original tissue paper, warranty card, bracelet instructions, day/date setting instructions, foil tags, and full colour manual. This is as complete and fine as you will ever find! Heuer manufactured Le Jour chronographs under a private-label arrangement in 1980. This Le Jour is the exact same watch as the ref. 750.501 Heuer (Pasadena), except that the Le jour sold for for $295, whilst the Heuer was $354 when brand new in 1980.
