Description
This is very uncommon, large, and robust 1940s Lemania chronograph measuring 37mm across in solid stainless steel! The case is in wonderful condition with stepped bezel, snap back, and oval pushers with original winding crown! The dial is absolutely fabulous being completely original in black with outer (darker) minute register, counting seconds sub-register, and 30-minute register. The dial has only some gentle aging, with all the original gold gilt print and matching hands intact. The gilt-finished movement is of superior quality (made by Lemania) and was just cleaned and is keeping very accurate time! Please keep in mind, Omega commissioned Lemania to make their chronograph movements for years! This watch was purchased in Europe. This is a prime example of a vintage Lemania military chronograph, often used by the German military in WW2.
