Look at this vintage, 1942 Mido Cadet complete with its royal-blue, plush velvet original box and papers! This watch looks as if it were new old stock, almost unused, and pristine! The gold-filled case with stainless steel back is perfect, as is the very striking cream-coloured dial having ‘antique’ green Arabic markers and sub-seconds register, what a great vintage look! The case is not small as most early Midos were, measuring 31.5mm across, with the elongated and curved lugs stretching to 39.5mm. The original papers have the date written as “1942.” We purchased this watch from the original owner who said he received it in the 1940s and basically never wore it! We just overhauled and cleaned the Swiss manual winding movement and is keeping time quite well!
