Description
This is such a cool find that came from a jeweller’s unused and unsold 1970s stock! This Paul Peugeot manual winding chronograph watch measures 34mm in a gold-plated case with stainless steel screw-back. This watch has never been on a wrist and comes complete with the original band, hang-tag; all unpolished, pristine and original. We usually find these exact watches marked on the dial “Minu-Stop” and were used to time parking meters up to one hour after the chronograph hand is depressed. This particular model is the first I’ve discovered labelled “Sport Timer” on the dial. Interestingly, the case and movement are both made in Germany. Various colour combinations were used in the chronograph half-moon section as well; with this one being in rare red. We have not serviced this manual winding movement, but it is keeping time quite well. This is a real collectors’ piece.
