Description
Pierre Cardin was a very well-known Italian-born French designer famous for his women’s space-age clothing designs. This watch was created by him in 1971 and inspired by Yuri Gagarin’s venture into space. This eccentric and asymmetric case reflects on the space-age designs from circa 1961. The case is produced from a solid block of steel measuring a very wearable 31×40.5mm and accented with a gold-tone bezel encircling the 21mm porthole opening to the original dial. Furthermore, the manual winding movement and French case are both made by Jaeger LeCoultre, adding to the the watch’s collectability and value. This is a large men’s watch, but could be worn by a man or woman. This Jaeger LeCoultre watch is very rarely seen and truly demands wrist attention. I may regret selling this one.
