Description
This circa-1969 stunning stainless-steel King Seiko is quite large; measuring 38×41.5mm in stainless steel. This case is known as the “Zabuton”, representing the pillow shape with beveled edges. It is so rare to find these watches in unpolished condition; having sharp bevels, such as this amazing example. The tiny nick on the underside edge shows more in my pictures and is barely noticeable in person. The golden medallion is crisp on the case back. The original dial shows gentle ageing in my photos and looks pristine on the wrist. This original dial has the uncommon linen-raised pattern that is much more noticeable when seen on the wrist. The very fine King Seiko ref. 4500-A manual-winding “hi-beat” movement was serviced and is accurate. Notice the original King Seiko crown and raised crystal are both present. This vintage Seiko really stands out from the crowd.
