Omega Seamaster Banana 200 Dive watch 1970

This is a very uncommon OMEGA SEAMASTER 200m. dive watch from 1970 we call the “BANANA 200?. We coined the name of this watch the “BANANA 200? about 5 years ago here at WatchesToBuy and it seems to have stuck! We have sold more of these than any other dealer in the world. This does not mean they are common; they are in fact quite difficult to find. We simply seek them out worldwide. They dials were also originally printed in gray and in black dial configurations; with all variations being quite uncommon. French military divers were known to wear these watches. The massive case measures 41mm. not including the crown, with mineral glass (original) scratchless crystal. The vibrant and original rotating bezel clicks one step at a time and has only one little nick near the # 40. This bezel is NOT available (new) from OMEGA any more, and has not been for YEARS. We have seen these watches with “destroyed” acrylic bezels. Finding a decent bezel installed on an a SEAMASTER 200 is DIFFICULT. The dial is completely original and NOT a factory replacement (which is slightly different) and often seen on these watches. The original 200m. signed case back is very clean and the sea monster is nicely visible. These hands have been re-lumed, but they are true vintage and correct hands for this watch. The correct screw-down crown is present. The caliber 565 was the only movement used in these OMEGAS-very robust automatic, having swan’s neck regulation-this one cleaned and accurate.
