1900s Asprey 8 Days Desk Clock

Description

Here is an early 1900s sterling-silver desk clock, which is actually an eight-day sterling-silver Asprey pocket watch mounted in the sterling-silver case with leather back. This watch comes with some provenance. It came from the circa 1630 english estate of Sharsted Court, which was once owned by Faunce De-Laune (as seen in the initials engraved at the top of the clock). Paperwork mentioning the estate is included. The watch itself is quite large, at 69mm and the 4×4.6″ leather and silver case with stand makes a perfect mantle or desk clock that will stay wound for up to eight days. The manual winding movement was just cleaned by our watchmaker. The entire package is original and without any damage! All the patina remains, lending a great vintage appeal.
