Description
This is the first automatic winding watch made! The Harwood was introduced in 1928 and remains historically, as one of the most important innovations in watchmaking. This particular Harwood is the rarest to find. We have only owned one other solid-gold (slightly green) version other than this in over 25 years of collecting. The bezel sets the time on this watch. The 29.5×37.25x11mm solid-gold filigree case is as clean as you will ever find! The dial and hands are original. In real life, the dial appears pristine – the swirls (natural patina) are barely visible. The automatic winding movement was just cleaned and is accurate.
