1930s Curve Fit

Description

This is an early steel watch from the 1930s, when they used the name “Staybrite” during the era that stainless steel was first introduced. Stainless steel was difficult to work with in the early days, so we see fewer early steel watches in existence than their gold-filled, gold, and chrome-plated counterparts. This Swiss watch named “Curved Fit” is a great example and includes an early (possibly original) sliding-buckle, adjustable full-length steel bracelet. The manual winding Swiss movement was just cleaned and is accurately keeping time. This case measures an elongated 20.5×42.5mm and exudes a great vintage look.
