Description
We always try to purchase rare and interesting watches that many of you collectors have never seen before! Here is another great example. This rhodium-plated early 1930s watch is one of the earliest attempts to produce a watch with the date-aperture feature! The watch measures a respectable 22.5x37mm with some minor marks on the case, but nothing detracting. The manual winding (signed) movement was just cleaned and overhauled with date functioning perfectly. Notice the great-looking original silver dial, having raised, Breguet-style numerals, blued steel hands, and sub-seconds. Note the wording “BREVET” and “PATENTED” on the movement, indicating the new date idea.
