This vintage 1930s Rolex Prince Observatory is a spectacular example that came from the original owner’s family. The dial was faithfully restored to the original. The dial itself is the original Prince Canadian version, having raised Breguet numerals and sub-second. The gold-filled Rolex filigree decorated case measuring 20x47mm is elongated and amazing-looking on the wrist, without any wear worth mentioning. The Rolex Prince manual winding movement is stellar – fully serviced by our Rolex watchmaker and accurate. The crystal was still intact; being glass, we kept it even with its tiny scratches. It’s great to find the original crystal still on a 1930s watch. The Rolex Prince is truly the vintage watch that started the collector’s craze in the 1980s and this was the most sought-after watch. These watches are becoming very rare.
