This is a fine 1930s Rolex Prince. We just leased this watch to appear in a film “Tuner” starring Dustin Hoffman. I can’t wait to see it on film. This watch has the best movement Rolex produced in the 1930s and 1940s with a balance protector, bridge micro regulator, and adjusted to seven positions. This movement is known as the “Rolex Prima movement.” The stainless steel 22.5×41.5mm Prince case is known as the “Railway Prince” due to its stepped sides. This dial and lume was expertly restored and retains the vintage look. The pencil hands are original. At the beginning of the vintage watch collecting phase in the 1980s, the Rolex Prince was the pinnacle watch that one would acquire. This watch should really be considered one of the most important today.
