This is a 1930s Canadian-version ref. 971 Rolex Prince housed in the most sought-after Brancard-style 23.5x42mm case, which has rhodium-plated sides and gold-plated bezel and case back. The bowtie original Rolex Prince dial has silver reflective accents and two-tone bowtie section with Arabic numerals. The photos do not do it justice, as this dial appears cleaner in real life. The reflective accents shine like a mirror and the age marks on the dial barely appear visible with the naked eye. The original blued steel hands are present. The movement is completely original and made be Aegler (for Rolex) and is the high-quality 17-jewel Prima movement. As you likely know, Aegler produced the movements for the Gruen doctors watch and the Rolex Prince. We guarantee that this is the original movement for this watch as we purchased it from the original owner. These leaf movements often appear in Canadian-version Rolex Prince watches. This movement was just serviced and is accurately keeping time. Also, a very high-quality alligator band has been installed and has been manufactured by A. Lange & Sohne.
