Description
This circa 1940 Rolex Standard displays all-original condition. It is uncommon to find an original dial on these watches and this one is completely untouched, as are the cathedral-style hands, which also have their original lume. Notice the dial’s large and classic Arabic numerals and sub-seconds. The gold-plated case and original bracelet look absolutely pristine after an expensive gold-plating restoration. The elongated and stepped case measures 25x33mm lug to lug. This bracelet features an interesting sliding, adjustable clasp to fit various wrist sizes. These contract cases were produced in Canada for Rolex to save import duty charges and are completely original and correct. The manual winding signed Rolex movement was just cleaned and is keeping time. These watches were produced for men, but would look great on a woman as well. Please note that the bracelet is 11.5mm narrow in the square sections.
