1940s Civitas WW2 Military Style

Description

This is a large 39x41x11.5mm Civitas from the 1940s WW2 military era. This may have been a military watch due to its solid casing. This dial is amazing, being black gloss with gilt print. Notice the curved print of the wording “shock absorber.” The pencil hands have their original lume present. The solid and heavy case is stainless steel and the bezel seems to be chromium with a bit of wear that really does not detract from the look. This case is very hefty, and thick with an inset glass crystal and beveled edges. The fine manual winding 15-jewel Swiss movement by Civitas was just cleaned, and is accurate. This watch comes with a rather supple and expensive Horween leather band that will last a lifetime. This is a very uncommon beast.
