1940s Elgin Diamond And Platinum Cocktail Watch

Description

This vintage, early 1940s platinum and diamond cocktail watch certainly exhibits an art-deco appearance! The deco dial is original and retains the original blued steel hands. Even though this is a small and dainty cocktail watch, the solid-platinum case feels rather heavy. Platinum is the most expensive of precious metals and the most costly and difficult to work with, due to its extremely high melting temperature of 3224 degrees Fahrenheit. These diamonds sparkle! The Elgin movement was recently cleaned and is accurate. This 1930s Elgin measures 10x32mm, making it very discreet, demure, and fine!
