Description
This is a fine and extremely clean, all-original circa late-1940s Jaeger-LeCoultre measuring slightly more than 35.2mm. This watch seems much larger on the wrist due to the narrow bezel. The 18k yellow-gold case is highlighted with teardrop-shaped lugs that sprawl outward and really add to the vintage appeal! This watch was barely used over the years. The hallmarks are deep and unpolished. The dial is virtually pristine and the Dauphine, pitched hands are gleaming. Notice the blued steel sweep seconds. The 17-jewel signed manual winding movement is the lovely caliber P450/4C finished in gilt with Geneva stripes – cleaned and accurate. We purchased this fine watch from the original owner who stated that he wore it for church on less than five occasions and otherwise kept it in a drawer! This is one of the most well-preserved, solid-gold vintage watches we have ever owned
