Description
This is a very early attempt at a Swiss watch company producing a waterproof watch dating to the early 1940s. The stainless steel case is rectangular, measuring a respectable 22x43mm with flexible (moveable) lugs and case back fastened with four screws for greater water resistance. The original dial is very attractive, having a reflective minute register, two-tone (alternating) sections, and original blued steel pencil hands with sub-seconds. The manual winding Swiss movement was just cleaned and is accurate. To find a steel rectangular watch is uncommon. It is also rare to find an early waterproof case, making this a very collectable vintage watch that will only appreciate in value over time! Please keep all vintage watches away from water, as the seals are not new!
