Description
This is a very cool-looking German military watch made by Swiss watch company Phenix in the early 1940s. The dial and hands are completely original and look fantastic for their age. The original darkened lume plots are also still present. The 34mm metal case having wire, military lugs with stainless steel back has all the proper German military markings (as you can see the letters D & H Deutsches Heer) indicating it was a German military service watch. I love how the chrome plating has worn to a gun-metal look. The case has an interesting quarter-turn stainless steel case back, which has four notches that slide under each lug. Once you open the case slightly and expose the four notches, the case can be popped open. The Wasserdicht signature indicates the watch was waterproof. The AS 1130 movement was just cleaned by our watchmaker and is working perfectly. The original black dial is amazing with gold gilt print, original pencil hands, and large sub-seconds.
