1940s Rolex 14k Gold Ladies Cocktail Watch

Description

This is a 14k solid-gold ladies Rolex cocktail watch from the 1940s. These watches confuse many collectors, because Rolex sold these watches in Canada while utilizing North American watch-case makers. They imported the movements from Rolex Switzerland, then dialed and cased them in North America in order to circumvent duties. This dial is original and signed Rolex. The movement is original and signed Tudor. These combination Rolex/Tudor watches were found mainly here in Canada and are correct. The 14k gold case has six authentic diamonds and measures a demure 16x27mm lug-to-lug. The crystal is original glass. The gold-filled bracelet really suits the watch and is vintage. These bracelets were never signed Rolex on these watches and were generic.
