Description
I love the original dial and thin blued steel hands on this 1940s Wittnauer chronograph. The aging looks amazing and is quite even. The red mileage scale adds interest as well. The thin art deco font of the Arabic numerals looks great! The manual winding Wittnauer movement was cleaned and is accurate. The steel case measures a mid-sized 32mm, but looks larger due to the sloped bezel. There is a ‘battle’ ding on the side, but it is not noticeable on the wrist. I like to keep cases original if I can, because this depicts the true history of this watch. This is a cool-looking vintage 1940s chronograph.
