Description
This 29mm all-original and correct, 1942 stainless steel Oyster Lipton is becoming harder and harder to find. The smaller case size made them less likely to be damaged during battle. We purchased this watch from the original owner. The dials are interesting and complicated on these Liptons. This example has Arabic numerals, and a red 24-hour track with sub-seconds. The blued steel pencil hands are original with the lume updated at some time. I love the original and evenly aged Havana dial. This watch retains the original Oyster-patented winding crown, which is in excellent shape. The caliber 59 (correctly signed ‘Rolex’ under the dial) was just cleaned and is accurate.
