Description
This is an all-original military Oyster Centregraph produced by the Rolex watch company in 1942. The Oyster gold-filled case is quite clean – sparkling without dings or scratches. The gold-filled case with steel back measures 28×34.3×12.4mm (1.12×1.35x.48″). The original dial maintains the original blued steel pencil hands and red sweep seconds. The correct and hard-to-find Oyster-patented winding crown glides smoothly and screws properly. The watch was just overhauled, cleaned, and is keeping excellent time. The original dial is spectacular with Arabic numerals, red sweep seconds, and original pencil hands – all very rare to find in such clean condition! These Oyster watches are small in size to avoid damage during battle. They were designed and sold to Canadian soldiers going overseas in WW2. These vintage military Oyster watches are becoming very hard to find in original and fine condition such as this!
