Description
This is an Oyster Grenfell from the 1940s and is part of the Canadian Oyster series. The Grenfell is one of the more uncommon variations. This gold-filled case measures 29mm and retains the original Oyster-patented winding crown. The stainless steel Oyster case back dates the watch to 1942. This dial is original and is highlighted with raised, gold-toned Arabic numerals, minute track, and bullseye ring. The gold-toned hands are all original. The movement is caliber 59, which is a Rolex-made movement that was just cleaned and is accurate. These Oyster series watches were marketed to Canadians going overseas in WW2 and we believe are currently undervalued.
