This 1942 Rolex Oyster Majestic Observatory is a great-looking vintage watch! The Oyster, cushion-shaped (smaller) 28x28mm gold-filled case with stainless steel back is like new! These smaller Rolex watches were mainly marketed to the British and Canadian military. This watch was found here in Canada and they are uncommon. The dial really is wonderful. Many collectors seek these evenly aged dials, as they really have character! This one is sun tanned with original gold gilt track, red 24-hour register, seconds track, red sweep seconds, and original pencil hands. There is some (usual) wear on the edges of the original Oyster winding crown. The Rolex movement was recently cleaned, overhauled, and is keeping accurate time.
