Description
This is a 1942 30.5mm Rolex Oyster Royal Observatory with an original dial having the uncommon curved print above the sub-seconds register. The blued steel pencil hands are correct and re-lumed, likely many decades ago. The steel Rolex Oyster case ref. 2280 has the correct winding crown and displays very good condition overall. The fine Rolex manual winding movement was just cleaned and is accurate. Most of these watches were sold in Canada at the military PX stores for soldiers going overseas to fight. This WW2 vintage Rolex Oyster Royal is a pretty cool watch.
