Description
This vintage, all-original and correct 1942 Rolex Oyster Royalite is becoming harder to find these days. The original white dial looks very clean with gold-gilt seconds/minute track, lume, and Arabic markers. This dial is amazingly clean. The original ref. 4220 stainless steel Rolex-Oyster case is original, unpolished, and measures a smaller 30mm, which was the normal size for these vintage military Rolex watches. The crown was replaced with a more modern and reliable Rolex-Oyster crown. These Rolex watches were marketed and sold to Canadian soldiers going overseas in WW2 and sold in the military PX stores in the 1940s.
