1942 Rolex Victory Military WW2 Watch

This vintage circa 1942 Canadian military watch was sold at the PX stores to soldiers going overseas in WW2. The stainless steel case measures a demure 29.25mm. The bold original black dial with radium numerals really pops. The Rolex Skyrocket and Victory were worn by WW2 soldiers. The Victory was generally found with a silver dial and usually just with the wording “Victory.” This is a rarer black dial version with a 24-hour scale. The pencil hands are original. These watches were cased in Canada and utilized either a Pioneer or ID case in order for Rolex to circumvent duties. The caliber 59 manual winding Rolex movement is correctly signed Rolex under the dial and was just fully serviced and is accurate. The Victory and Skyrocket watches came with a plain unsigned non screw-down crown. These WW2 Rolex are becoming hard to find.
