1945 Omega Suveran WW2 Military Watch

Description

This 1945 Omega Suveran is a very desirable WW2 military-era watch designed by Omega for the Swedish market. These fine watches were sold only in Sweden by their government in order to raise money for the ailing WW2 economy…a true and interesting fact. This ref. 2400-5 houses one of the best movement Omega produced; the caliber 30T2SC manual winding. This movement is among the cleanest I’ve ever laid eyes upon…I mean it truly sparkles and is accurate after a recent service. These military watches were sold with a plain winding crown. This dial was expertly restored to its original configuration and still has its original hands. The rarely seen Omega factory engraved name “Suveran” on the case back means “superb” in Swedish and represents this watch accurately. These watches were larger than the average from the era, measuring 35mm. This vintage Omega military watch is priced considerably lower than any examples out there. You can wear this daily as it is a very robust watch.
